Norvestor and MG Link invests in Swedish modular construction company PCS Modulsystem
MG Link AS (“MG Link”), with Norvestor VIII SCSp (“Norvestor VIII”) as majority owner, has signed an agreement to acquire a 100% of the shares in PCS Modulsystem AB ("PCS" or "the Company"), a Swedish company providing modular building solutions for schools, healthcare facilities, and office spaces.
MG Link, previously majority owned by another Norvestor VIII company, CIC Hospitality, will, with this acquisition, create a new stand-alone group, fully focused on providing modular construction facilities to the Nordic region. The founders and management of MG Link, Egil Messmer and Ronny Granli, is the previous founders and management team of Wexus AS, which Norvestor VII, L.P was invested in during 2017-2020.
PCS provides high-quality, wood-based modular facilities designed for a variety of applications, including schools, healthcare facilities and office spaces. The company mainly rents out the modules to the public sector in Sweden, creating long visibility over the contract period. The company provides everything from design and sales to installation, service, and re-utilization. PCS has established itself as a reliable player with strong, predictable revenue streams.
"PCS has built a solid business with an attractive operating model and a strong position in the modular building market. With proven models and high customer satisfactions, MG Link and PCS together fits well with our strategy of growing and developing Nordic companies. We look forward to working with the MG Link and PCS teams and supporting their expansion," says Tor-Erling Gunnerød, Partner at Norvestor Advisory.
“The PCS team has built an impressive platform in the Swedish market and we look forward to partner up with them and continue to grow together. We are excited for another journey with the Norvestor team and together with PCS we will be able to serve the Nordic markets,” says Egil Messmer, founder and CEO of MG Link.
"Partnering up with MG Link and Norvestor, we create a strong partnership for continued growth. We see great potential to expand our operations further and meet the increasing demand for flexible and sustainable building solutions. With our expertise and MG Link’s and Norvestor’s support, we can strengthen our market position and reach even more customers," says John Ekberg, CEO of PCS Modulsystem.
The transaction is in line with Norvestor’s focus on acquiring and scaling outstanding mid-market companies in the Nordic region. The transaction is expected to close in the end of Q1 2025/beginning of Q2 2025, subject to customary closing conditions.
